THE VIRTUE OF PATIENCE

FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD REMAIN BLESSED.

THE VIRTUE OF PATIENCE
MAY Saturday 15th
TEXT: Romans 5:1-5
KEY VERSE: “He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.” Proverbs 14:29.
One of the attributes of God is patience or longsuffering. He is tolerant and very patient with sinners. He is neither quick to anger nor quick to judge. His patience flows from the abundance of His mercy. God wants his children to also share his patience. It is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, human beings by nature are hardly patient with God or with themselves. Any time we desire something, we want it quick and fast But God cannot be coerced to do our bidding. He knows the best time to act hence God's time is the best.
“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.
Abraham and Sarah were impatient with God. When God seemed to 'delay' in fulfilling His promise they sought to help God out as if God was handicapped. The result was disastrous for the family and humanity. The birth of Ishmael caused a lot of strife in the family of Abraham. Even the world at large is still groaning under the pains of the product of their indiscretion. Saul was an impatient king. At Gilgal, he offered an unauthorized sacrifice because Samuel delayed in coming. For his impatience and indiscretion, Saul lost his kingship.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
There is great wisdom in patience. Impatience causes misunderstanding and strife. Impatience leads to a hasty decision that often proves wrong with negative consequences. Without patience, it is difficult to walk with God or operate in the realm of faith. You need the patience to actualize God’s promise. “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” Hebrews 6:15. “I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

Thought for the day: Patience is the companion of wisdom. Have patience.
Song for the day: Trust and obey
Bible reading for the day:

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
