OVERCOMING DENOMINATIONAL BARRIERS.  MONDAY OCTOBER 30
TEXT: MATTHEW 16: 18-19
Key verse: And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” Matthew 16:18.
Jesus said, I am the one building my church and the gate of hell shall not prevail against it. But I use men to build the church, I raise men to build it, I give the keys of the kingdom to men to build my church. I give these men the power to bind and the power to loose. The church is not denominational, the workers, ministers, apparently, clearly are not denominational ministers that Jesus is referring to here. Jesus' Church, the body over his church, is not denominational, not segregated, with fractions and fragments. In the New Testament time, the church Paul had authority over, Peter and Apollo also had authority over it. Paul said, I have laid the foundation someone else is building upon it, which means the work is not giving to one man only. God give the authority according to various decrees over the same church. Church is like Barracks having officers of various ranks. Everybody has influence according to the department giving to him, according to rank giving to him, over the same Barracks. That is the church. “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; there is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One God and Father of all who is above all, and through all, and in you all” Ephesians 4:3-6. The church is the body of Christ being controlled by the Spirit of Christ; having one hope of eternal life in heaven; all the members have one body of teachings called one faith; one Lord Jesus Christ, Saviour, Master over all; having one baptism, one transformation and qualities of salvation. If any man is in Christ he is a new creature. That is the baptism and transformation we are talking about, which the Holy Spirit does on those who have believed. So which ever church the name is, if anybody there is in Christ he is a new creature having the same spirit, the same body of teaching, the same Jesus Christ. The church actually is one. Jesus is not coming for any denomination. He is coming back for one church called the body of Christ. Let that open your understanding about the oneness of the church. Be a true member of the body of Christ.
Thought for the day: One Body; One Hope; One Faith; One Baptism; One Lord; One Spirit; One God
Song for the day: The Church is marching on...

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
