SCRIPTURAL JUSTIFICATION FOR WOMEN MINISTRY.  WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 11
TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-11
Key Verse:“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” Joel 2:28-30
Preaching, teaching, praying or prophesying by women is justified by God in the following scriptures:-
1.       Women ministry was practiced in the scripture and remains valid till this day (Rom 15:4). The ministry we see godly women engaged in today is of the Holy Ghost, except those of unruly and godless women, which are known by their fruits
2.       God has promised to pour out the Holy Spirit on the women for prophecy and other gifts for ministry in Joel 2:28-29.
3.       The Lord sent baptism of the Holy Ghost upon His sons and daughters to be effective witnesses as preachers, teachers and workers in Acts 1:8.Women also receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and are to engage in whatever ministry the Lord gives them for human salvation and the establishment of the saints.
4.       The gifts of the Holy Spirit are given for ministry in the body of Christ in 1 Cor 12:1-11. Christian women also enjoy these gifts by which they edify the saints.
5.       In Mark 16:17-20, these things are practically seen among us. All these confirm that the woman has full access to the Christian ministry by the will of God. The Lord Himself works with them to confirm their word with signs following. This serves to justify the ministry.
6.       The instruction of the Lord “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…” in Matt 28:19-20 does not only involve preaching to sinners but teaching the saints. Since women are included in the Disciples of Christ, they are included in the commission to preach and teach the converts all the word.
If they do this faithfully, they will see the presence and blessings of Jesus in their ministry. Also in this commission is the commandment to baptize the converts in water. Women ministers therefore have the authority of the Lord to baptize converts and also to serve communion.
Thought for the day: God has poured His Holy Spirit upon all flesh for ministry.
Song for the day: Breathe on me (2) Holy Ghost power, breathe on me, yesterday is gone….
Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 45-47; Colossians 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
