THE NAME OF JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR YOU.  WEDNESDAY OCTOBER  18
TEXT: Acts 4:13-18
KEY VERSE: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” Romans 10:10.
Before Jesus’ birth, an angel of the Lord appeared to troubled Joseph and announced, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21. Apostle John wrote in 1 John 3:8, The Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”  Centuries earlier, Prophet Isaiah had prophesied concerning the Messiah, The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Isaiah 61:1.  Jesus said concerning himself, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. All these scriptures point to one fact: Jesus is the object of salvation, deliverance, breakthrough and everything that is good and desirable. In His name, all things are possible.
What does the name Jesus mean to you? It means salvation (Matthew 1:21). His name is sufficient to heal (1 Peter 2:24). His name delivers from satanic bondage (Luke 13:16). His name is sufficient to prosper and enter into abundant life (John 10:10). His name delivers in times of trouble (Proverbs 18:10). When Peter and John visited the temple at the beautiful gate (Acts 3), they met a man who has been lame from birth and they decreed healing in the name of Jesus. This incident troubled members of the Jewish council who arrested the disciples and commanded them not to speak or teach in that name again. The kingdom of darkness and its agents tremble at that name. As a rule they don’t mention it in their kingdom because of the commotion that will follow. That is the name given to the children of God to triumph over the forces of darkness and to overcome troubled situations. Do not allow anyone to deceive you by introducing you to some miracle articles or objects, or to some 'powerful' man of God. Let your faith remain in Jesus whose name is sufficient to comfort, to prosper, to deliver and to give life eternal. Thought for the day:    Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith.
Song for the day: His name is higher above all other names
Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 65-66; 2 Thessalonians 1

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
