EXPLANATION OF ‘LET THE WOMEN KEEP SILENCE’ SATURDAY OCTOBER 28
TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 14:33-40
Key Verse: “And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”1 Cor 14:35
The following can be discerned from the text above: 1. God is not the Author of confusion but of peace. 2. Let the women keep silence in the church 3. It is not permitted unto them to speak 4. They are commanded to be under obedience as saith also the law 5.If they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home 6. It is a shame for women to speak in the church 7. This is the commandment of God 8. The women should not be forbidden to speak in tongues in the church 9. Let all things be done decently and in order. Considering the scriptural rights God has given the Christian woman to speak, preach, teach and prophesy in the church, we know that it is not in these respects that 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 says the woman should keep silence in the church; It is not permitted unto them to speak; It is a shame for the woman to speak in the church.
The women are therefore authorized to do the following in the church for Christ:
1. Preach the gospel as the disciple of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15)
2. Teach the word of God to a converts as soul winners (Matthew 28:18-20)
3. Testify of the works of God in their lives and in the lives of others in Christ (Psalm 107:2)
4. Sing in the worship of God in the church (Ephesians 5:19-20)
5. Prophesy: speak to men for their edification, exhortation and comfort (1 Cor 11:5, 14:3, Acts 21:8-9).
These activities involve speaking therefore women have scriptural authority to speak in these respects in the church.
Thought for the day: Only the mouth of the dead is silenced; open your mouth and preach the gospel.
Song for the day: Don’t allow me (3x) Jesus to go empty handed
Bible reading for the day: Jeremiah 23-24; 2 Timothy 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
