THE ANCIENT LANDMARK ON REMOVAL OF JEWELRY

God bless you for taking the time to study.

THE ANCIENT LANDMARK ON REMOVAL OF JEWELRY

TEXT: Exodus 33:4-6

FRIDAY JUNE 2ND

KEY VERSE: “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” 2 Peter 1:20.
The voice of Bible commentators who favour the use of Jewellery is loud. This serves as a strong support and calms the conscience of those that use jewelry. Let us have this at the back of our mind; however knowledgeable and inspired a preacher or a Bible commentator is, his commentary on every portion of scripture must be judged to see whether he speaks the mind of God on that portion of scripture or his own mind. This will help the readers not to build their faith on error. Confidence in any pastor or Bible commentator does not save. Only the word of God saves.
The majority of Christians use jewelry in their dressing. Ministers of the gospel of high ranks and anointing, male, and female, use rings and other items of jewelry freely. Only a few Christians abstain from jewelry. Unfortunately, some do so, not from scriptural conviction, but in compliance with the tradition of their assembly; with time such often return to the use of jewelry.
“Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment.” (Exodus 23:2.)
It has been clearly set forth here that many of the founding fathers of many churches preached against jewelry, but for one reason or the other, the successors could not uphold the Scriptural conviction of their predecessors in this issue. It is very important that the Christian church goes back to the old landmark of their forefathers.  Doing this will require those who are convinced to teach and persuade others in the congregation to obey God and make heaven.

Thought for the day:  Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil

Song for the day: How excellent is your name, O Lord

Bible reading for the day: 2 Chronicles 7-9; John 13:1-17

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
