VISIBLE SIGNS THAT PROVE YOU ARE A CHILD OF LIGHT
TEXT: Ephesians 4:17-32
Key verse:  Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation
the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.

God is light and there is no darkness in Him (1 John 1:5). True children of God walk in the light and not in darkness (1 John 1:6). Not everybody who calls on the name of Jesus belongs to Him; not everybody in the Church is a true child of God. There are all kinds of Christians in the church. Beyond saying, “I am a Christian” or “I belong to this church or that church” or “I am a pastor,” there are signs that should signpost your life to prove your identity in Christ Jesus.  Here are five things that happen when you come into the light of God.

1. Your life will stand you out in the dark world. Matthew 5:14-15 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
2. Your life will bring glory to God. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
3. You will live a new life in Christ and people will witness to it – the life of righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
4. You will not be a partaker of evil works of darkness. Ephesians 5:11-13 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
5. You will become a role model that others will want to emulate. 1Corinthians 11:1  Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.  1Thessalonians 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.

Thought for the day: The life you live is what announces you as a Christian, not your confession.
Song for the day: Let others see Jesus in you, let others see Jesus…..
Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 1-3; Galatians 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
