For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH CANNOT TAKE YOU TO HEAVEN
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 1:10-13
KEY VERSE: John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. If you are really born again, your regeneration experience should be the same as others. The born again of an Ibo man should be the same born again of a Yoruba man, and the born again of other tribes. So, the born again of all races and nations should be the same everywhere. The Christian characteristics should be the same, the regeneration experience should be the same, if you are in Christ. Old things will pass away, former evil characters will pass away and all things will become new. It is the same experience whichever church you belong to. Nobody is more saved than the other. Do not be carried away by the different denominational names. Do not be intimidated by their denominational pride: this is Methodist, this is Baptist, this is Deeper Life, this is Living Faith. Do not be deceived by all those big names because they will never take you to heaven.
John Wesley was the founder of the Methodist church. He used to be proud of his church thinking by the standard of holiness they maintained, only the Methodist members would qualify to enter heaven. Then he had a revelation. He went to heaven and said “I want to see the Methodists.” The angels told him “We don’t have Methodists here, the people that are here are those washed with the blood of Jesus.” Know the truth that those washed with the blood of the Lord Jesus are the people that are in heaven so do not be lost by your denomination to the point that you start disdaining other denominations. Can’t you labour among other denominations? Can’t you preach among other denominations? Won’t you allow preachers from other denominations and ministries to come and preach in your church? What is your reason?
Thought for the day: There can be unity in diversity.
Song for the day: We are together again … Just praising the Lord
Bible reading for the day: Genesis 31-32; Matthew 10:24-42
