TOPIC: DILIGENT PERSUASION OF HOLY CHRISTIANS 

TEXT: MATTHEW 7:21-23
21. Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?.
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

KEY VERSE: 2 KINGS 5:13 And his servant came near, and spake unto him, and said, my father, if the prophet had bit thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? How much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

When Aquila and Priscilla saw Apollos preaching, they were happy because he preached zealously but after they listened, they discovered his ignorance. They called him and showed him the way of the Lord more perfectly and that was what made Apollos great. 

Do not leave ignorant preachers and believers that look sincere like that; give them materials to bring them to godly understanding. Sister, that your friend that is zealous and prophesies. Do you know whether the Holy Ghost is a true one? 

She gave a prophecy and it came to pass, but for that jewellery that is on her neck, for that wedding ring and the earrings she is wearing, she will never go to heaven. Make her your soul winning project! Persuade them to righteousness and holiness. 

There is a difference between divine call to service and entering heaven. Not all that serve the Lord will go to heaven. If you know this truth, then if you love that woman, take extra steps to see how you can perfect her, seeing she is already making effort. It requires wisdom and diligent persuasion.

In the same way, you must persuade your family members because tradition, deception and human pride have made man tough. It is by persuasion that some of them can be saved. When Elisha said to Naaman, "Go to river Jordan and dip yourself inside the water seven times and your leprosy will go". 

Naaman was not happy about it. He told his servants, "Let's go back". Naaman's servant went to him and persuaded him to obey the word of the prophet. The Bible said his body became clean like that of a child. The persuasion worked on him. 

Talk to your family members, relations, neighbours, friends, church members, fellow ministers. Persuade people from other religions to accept Jesus. Persuade ignorant ministers to become heaven bound preachers.

Thought for the day: Persuade people to Righteousness and Holiness.
