TOPIC: EVIL MEN TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE PULPIT 

TEXT: TITUS 1:10-12
10. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 
11. Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
12. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 

KEY VERSE: 1 JOHN 4:8 “He that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is love.” 

This refers to evil speakers; people who do not have the truth but are always contrary. If you give them a message to preach, they will preach their errors. Do not give such people message again. Their mouths must be stopped. Do not appoint them as leaders. Do not appoint a leader because of his dignity or his educational attainments. 

Appoint leaders who have the truth with them. You might have even seen that a person has no truth and is not also willing to learn, do not give him the pulpit, but remove it from him. Many years ago in Deeper Life Bible Church, somebody was given a message to preach in a conference. As he was talking, they noticed that the man had gone off from scriptural truth before the great congregation. 

What would they do? They had to go to the brother in charge of the generator to put off the light. As the man continued speaking, he realized that the microphone was not responding again. Then he was told to excuse himself from the pulpit. This was to protect the church. To protect the truth, take the evil man out of the pulpit. 

Take the erroneous man out of the pulpit. Take the contrary man out of the pulpit to preserve the flock of God. Some will ask, “You are judging?” Yes, the Bible says that; I, as a Christian should judge those who claim to be Christians. God has given us the right to judge the churches. 

Call the names of all these ministers that corrupt the gospel, if you know them. It is better that the people should know their names and run away from them than to die in ignorance under them and go to hell. It is not a sin to do so. Will God glorify sinners? 

With the zeal of the Lord, with fervent anger against iniquity, because those that love God hate iniquity, reveal it. If a righteous man sees iniquity, his heart is against it. When the Lord sent judgment on Dathan and Abiram, the earth opened and they sank into it. The people then said, Moses had killed the Lord’s people. Reject their association because they are stubborn, wicked, disobedient and do not follow God`s way and rules.

Thought for the day: Take the contrary man out of the pulpit to preserve the flock.
