Scriptural Proofs For Prophecies And Revelations

Sunday 28th December

Text: Galatians 1:8, 9
Key verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Due to possibilities of errors in prophetic revelations, all manifestations through such means must pass scriptural tests before they can be received. The following are the scriptural tests that authenticate t a prophetic revelation to be the word of God.
A: It must be true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praise worthy. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
B: It must be consistent with the message and truth of the whole scripture. Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
C: The prophetic revelation, the circumstance of the revelation, the life of the person giving the revelation message and previous revelation messages given by him, if any, must be carefully investigated to know whether the message is from God or not. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
D: The message must not be contrary to any portion of the scripture. 2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
E: The prophetic revelation or testimony of divine revelation must glorify Jesus. Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
F: The message must edify, exhort and comfort believers. 1 Corinthians 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

Thought for the day: Revelation must not contradict to any portion of the scripture

Song for the day: Forever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
