Promotion, Riches, Wealth, Greatness Are Blessings In Holiness.
Friday 26th December
TEXT: Job 1: 1 – 3
Key verse: Genesis 26: 12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year an hundred fold, and the Lord blessed him.”
The story of Job is a great lesson for all believers. Job was perfect and righteous. He was holy and had the blessing of holiness in his life. That man feared God and hateth iniquity. He was rich but never used his money for immorality. never became proud because he was rich. No! He didn’t make himself a god among the people because he had money. No! He was upright and hated evil. He did not give ungodly counsel. Job was the greatest of all the men of the east because he was perfect, upright, loved God, loved righteousness and hated iniquity! That is what God wants of you. If you want to be great, famous and to do something for God, God says it is only in holiness. Walk in the highway of holiness, then you will be different from other people.
I lead in the way of righteousness that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance. Riches and honour are with me. Yes, durable riches and righteousness. Blessing and greatness is in holiness. As a minister of the gospel labouring to preach well and gather crowds for Jesus, it is in holiness. But what about the prosperity preachers that gather much followers for themselves? Will Jesus find anyone among them that can make it to heaven? Do you call that a congregation? Jesus calls them the synagogue of Satan. These are not the people He is thinking about.
God desires righteous and holy people with sincere hearts who have cleansed themselves. Jesus is looking for a holy congregation. This is the essence of ministry; not to gather thieves and ungodly people. Jezebel had four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and another four hundred prophets of the grove; making eight hundred and fifty congregation under Jezebel. They make noise, jump and carry chairs. Is that the congregation Jesus is looking for? No. He wants a holy and righteous assembly where sinners remove their prodigal clothing and put on robes of righteousness. If you want achieve this as a pastor, then you must be holy. It is in holiness.
