TOPIC: LOVE AND SUBMISSION IN MARRIAGE

TEXT: EPHESIANS 5:21-33

KEY VERSE: 1 PETER 3:1: Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of wives;

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one but there is the head. He is the Father. The Son honored and glorified the Father when He was on earth. The Holy Spirit now leads us to glorify the Son and glorify the Father. So, there is headship, the God of life set a leader over all institutions. The head of Christ is God; the head of the man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man.

The headship in the house is the man. God made him to be the head God made him to be in control. When Jesus was on earth he yielded to the headship of the father. He did not win us to Himself. Even when people called Him good master, He gave it back to God, saying, who is good but God alone (Mark 10:17-18).

If you give your husband the headship of that house, you will have your own place properly protected, because you and your husband are one. But contention of the woman for headship in the home has sometimes been the reason for problems in marriage. The woman refusing to submit to the man as the head is something that runs against the basic tenet of marriage.

In reality, the woman is equally intelligent, well-educated and probably has a doctorate degree. In fact, she is a professor. She has the money. She is even earning more than the man. Because of that there is power tussle on who is the head. Woman God expects that you should submit to your husband. God never gave headship to the woman.

Husband, the woman is submitting the headship to you, then you rule in love. Man, if you want your glory, then promote your wife. Love your wife, as she is convenient so you will be happy. So if you treat your wife badly and the woman is provoked, how do you enjoy peace in the house? Love her, care for her, be patient with her and appreciate her good works.

Thought for the day: the headship in the house is the man.

Song for the day: Give me grace to follow, I need your grace to follow.

Bible reading for the day: Ezekiel 44-46

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
