TOPIC: SOME PASTORS HAVE MASTERED THE ART OF DECEPTION

TEXT: ACTS 8:9-11, JOB 15:5-6

Key Verse: Job 15:35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.

A pastor was preparing a sermon for his people on a fellowship day. What does he have to tell the people? He gathered lies together and started preaching. 

As he preached he was laughing within himself because there were some apparent lies that he spoke. He felt that if these people were reasonable, they should not believe such stories but he has cast a spell on them to make them believe everything he says. 

So, he stands on the stage but his belly is filled with deceit, and when he speaks, his words come out with inspiration but they are all deceit. 

That is how some of these ministers live in total deception. All their work or sermon in the church and ministry is just to deceive people. All their promises are lies. 

Somebody can come to a lady and tell her, “I will marry you” with sincere countenance but it is a big deception. There are many injuries in this world because of what the lying tongue does among men in societies, homes and churches.

Acts 8:9-11

9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

If you watch these people critically, with prayers and verify their words with scriptures, you will see their evil deeds but many are carried away by emotional display. 

They neither think through nor pray to God to understand these people and do not apply it to reasoning in the realm of truth and Scripture. You do not do so, that is why you do not know, otherwise, you will see evil in them; you will notice the rotten smell that oozes out from them spiritually. 

Demonic spirits follow them and inspire them but because your mind is off, you believe them. You are so simple, that is why they carry you off blindly.

Thought for the day: Pray earnestly for God to expose all the evil pastors to you
