TESTIMONY OF RESTITUTION BY SISTER ESTHER EFFIONG

God bless you for taking the time to study. TESTIMONY OF RESTITUTION BY SISTER ESTHER EFFIONG Text: Genesis 20: 1-18  WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 1st  Key verse: Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which is lost” My name is sister Esther Effiong, an indigene of Akwa-Ibom state based in Katsina, Katsina state, Nigeria. My testimony started in December 2012. Before I came to know HOREMOW, I was a member of the Apostolic church and thought I was born again. However, during the December 2012 conference, I heard the messages of Sister Linda and Pastor Paul Rika, and I realized that my experience was not genuine. Based on the messages I learned about restitution, and I realized that I was in the wrong marriage because I was a second wife to a man. More so, I was putting on worldly attires which was also wrong and sinful to the lord. The true messages I received convicted me and I started attending meetings of HOREMOW in Kaduna state while planning how to do my restit...

REASONS WHY THE CHURCH BECAME CORRUPT

God bless you for taking the time to study. REASONS WHY THE CHURCH BECAME CORRUPT TEXT: Hebrews 12:5-13  TUESDAY JANUARY 31st  Key Verse: Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.  The church became corrupt today because the ministers failed to enforce discipline on erring members. The leaders followed American and European rules that forbid eating or erring children. They adopted that wicked principle into the church and spoilt their congregation. Their members dressed shabbily and nobody talked. Pastors allowed their members to appear anyhow they wanted to the church to serve God. They play drums, and sing in the choir in their sins without rebuke from the leadership. They spared the rod and spoiled their congregation. If a leader cannot discipline the members of his congregation, it means he hates God and His people. You that spared them will not go to heaven. You do not want them to have a good ...

TEENAGER RETURNS FROM HELL WITH A MESSAGE (2)

God bless you for taking the time to study.  TEENAGER RETURNS FROM HELL WITH A MESSAGE (2) TEXT: Acts 9:39-42  MONDAY JANUARY 30th  KEY VERSE: Acts 9:42 And it was known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.” (Continued from yesterday) Suddenly, a mighty voice called him thrice, asking if he knew where he was going. He answered that he was on his way to hellfire and began to plead for mercy. The Lord showed him mercy; He commanded him to go back, confess his sins, do his restitution and give a warning message to his people. The Lord promised to send an angel to bring him to heaven afterward. He said all his sins were loaded upon his chest as he carried them on the broad way to hell. He made several confessions; stealing handsets, selling a stolen tipper-load of sand, and cheating his fellows while sharing the money.  He also confessed to defiling a child, etc…He begged for forgiveness and asked his brother, the pastor to help him go around and do resti...

SEE GOD IN HIS MERCY AND JUDGMENT

God bless you for taking the time to study. TOPIC: SEE GOD IN HIS MERCY AND JUDGMENT  Text: 2 Samuel 12: 11-14  SATURDAY JANUARY 28th  Key Verse: Psalm 101:1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto Thee, O Lord, will I sing.  This was the commitment and resolution of King David, the righteous leader of God's people. Though it was the resolution of David the godly king, it is still the standard that Jesus the Bishop of our souls has as the One leading the flocks Himself. This is the standard every true and righteous leader must have. The Psalmist praised God both for His mercy and judgment as seen in our key verse. We must see God both in His mercy and judgment, goodness and severity; kindness and punishment; salvation and condemnation, quickening people back to life, and in destroying people forever. You need to see God in these two perspectives; mercy and judgment.  We speak often of His grace, kindness, love, and forgiveness. Certainly, God will show you kindn...

STRIVE TO OBTAIN AN INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN

God bless you for taking the time to study. STRIVE TO OBTAIN AN INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 9: 24-27  FRIDAY JANUARY 27th  Key Verse I Corinthians 9: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means when I have preached to others, I should be a castaway. The Christian life is also likened to a race that the athlete engages himself in so that he may win a prize. As a result, he is disciplined in all things that he may win. We know that not everyone that is involved in the race gets the prize. Only the first to the third persons get the prizes while others miss it and go empty.  This is what made the athlete to be temperate in all things. He ensures his body shape and weight is fit enough to perform. His trainers also give him training, because he wants to win. Paul says I know so well that not everybody that comes into or is called into Christianity or Christian ministry will eventually make it to heaven. Since I know this, I di...

GOD IS GREAT

God bless you for taking the time to study TOPIC: GOD IS GREAT  THURSDAY  JANUARY 19th  TEXT: MATTHEW 8: 5-13 Key verse: “Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught”. Luke 5:4 The person that made these promises is too great to be overlooked by you.  Heaven and earth have known and recognized Him to be great. Looking at the nature of the person that made the promises, can you distrust Him?  It is God that told you that He will do what He said He will do. Because of His Person, believe what He told you. Act on what He says and wait for His promises. The Centurion saw the dignity, personality and the greatness of Jesus. He caught a revelation on the divinity of Jesus. He knew and understood Jesus’ authority.  Hence, he said, Lord, you don’t need to go all the way to my house.  Just speak a word only and I will believe you and it shall be done. I know Your Omnipotence and I also know t...

BRING SINNERS TO JESUS

God bless you for taking the time to study. TOPIC: BRING SINNERS TO JESUS  THURSDAY JANUARY 12th  TEXT: Romans 10:11-15 KEY VERSE: Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. Psalm 96:3  Passion for souls works heaviness and continual sorrow in the heart of a soul winner for those who are perishing without Christ. So, saints weep and mourn for perishing souls. Can you hear the mourning of a saint in the following scripture? Are you not going to cry for your family that this old Devil has prevailed against? Are you not going to cry for the churches that gather under falsehood? Are you not going to cry and say “Help O God, the Devil has prevailed!” That old Devil laughs anytime he gets a soul for Hell! Are you not going to cry because the Church is running swiftly into the hand of the Devil the devourer? Are you not going to be concerned? “For these things, I weep; my eyes run down with tears!” Be concerned. Let there be a heaviness in our hearts....
