The Attributes Of God

Tuesday 24th June

Text: Hebrew 4:12-13
Key Verse: Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever,

Hebrew 13.8
Attributes are the characteristics or qualities belonging to a person. The attributes of God fall into two main categories: Essential and Moral.
1: Essential Attributes: These are attributes that are unique to God, and which make Him God. They can never be shared by any of His creatures. Under this are the followings: God is Eternal: He has no beginning and no end, God exists from eternity to eternity, Psalm 90: 2. He is Everlasting, forever and ever ‘backward’, forever and ever ‘forward’. God exists from a dateless past that has no beginning and will be there forever, world without end.
God is Self-Existence: God exists in and by Himself, He is the I AM. Exodus 3:14. He is Jehovah God, the Self-existent God. He owes His existence to no one. He lives independent of anyone.
God is Immutable: God is unchanging and unchangeable as to His character and nature, Hebrew 13.8.
God is Omnipotent: God is all powerful. Nothing is impossible with God. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto Him, Psalm 62:11.
God is Omniscient: He is all-knowing. He knows all things in the past, present and the future, Proverb 15:3.
God is Omnipresent: God is all-present. He cannot be limited by space and time. He is everywhere at all times. Psalm 139:7-12.
2: Moral attributes: These are attributes which belong to God especially in relation to His creatures. These attributes are those which God intends man to possess;
Perfect holiness: This speaks of absolute purity. God neither sins nor tolerates sin. He is perfectly holy in all His ways, Revelation 4:8.
Perfect righteousness: Righteousness is holiness in action against sin. Genesis 2:17; Romans 2:6-10.
Perfect love: Love is the heart of God. God does not only have love, God is love. He is the absolute personification of love, 1 John 4:8. Components of God’s love includes: goodness; grace; mercy; compassion and kindness.
Perfect faithfulness: God is absolutely trustworthy, loyal, reliable, and true to His Words, Revelation 19:11
Thought For The Day: The attributes of God are awesome.
Song of the day: Unquestionable You are the Lord (3).

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
