TOPIC: HEAD DRESSING FOR HOLY WOMEN.
THURSDAY JULY 6
TEXT 1 Timothy 2:8-10
KEY VERSE: Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel. 1 Peter 3:3.
Reading through 1 Timothy 2:8-10 and 1 Peter 3:3-4 we can learn the following about how a godly woman should dress.
i. Modest Apparel. The godly woman's dressing must be modest and appropriate, portraying her Christian faith and holiness. She must avoid both extremes, wretched or flamboyant appearance.
ii. Sobriety. There must be self-control over her thirst on clothing. It must not drive her to covetousness, wild desire and worldliness. She must be content with the few you have. She must not go into insatiable desires or wild purchase of clothing. She must not go into the love of clothes and shoes. If this happened, she will not be satisfied with it; she will waste divine resources and be liable for it before God. She must learn to give out the unwanted ones to the needy.
iii. Shamefacedness. This is the natural quality of the woman that makes her shy and protective over her sensitive body parts before men. This is the reason why even the mad women still take care of their sensitive body parts. Let the woman maintain this.
iv. Braided Hair/ Plaiting of Hair. Explanation is required here to give you the true meaning
Nehemiah 8:8.
8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
The reason God gives commandment to us is to instruct us on His righteous ways, to promote righteousness, prevent sin, and protect the righteous from satanic influence. Braiding or plaiting of hair in these passages does not refer to the simple clean and decent way women weave their hair or use simple thread to tie strands of their hair in order to keep their hair natural, neat, long and feminine. It rather refers to the unnatural, ostentatious and fashionable hairdo practiced by the ungodly, according to the dictate of their god and master, Satan, which thing is designed to satisfy the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
Thought for the day: Nothing should be too much to give up for Christ.
Song for the day: I am pressing on the upward way.

August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
