GOD DEMANDS INWARD PURITY THURSDAY JUNE 1 TEXT: EPHESIANS. 5:1-16 Key Verse: “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds” Colossians 3: 9 The Gospel of heart purity comes to you and to the church, why? Though we have come to love Jesus, there are things we do as we live with one another. Sometimes we do things that are bad. We still manifest some pride and we are still competing with one another, still angry against one another. We envy one another. Are you singing in the choir but still having struggle between you and your sister? If you notice that there is holiness in you but some little lies are still being told, then run for your sanctification. Genesis 18: 11 – 15. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh. Note that Sarah was a believer, but when Sarah was challenged, she said; ‘No, I did not say such thing’. Was not Sarah a godly woman? Godly but there were still lies in her. All these impurities will go as you believe the Gospel of sanctification so that your heart comes to the higher level. The Lord will strengthen that heart with Holiness. Amen! You can now live the holy life. Do away with stubbornness and rebellion that is seen in the church, are you always self-willed, very strong in your will even when things are not good: you may claim to be a leader!, a Christian, if you preach, signs and wonders may follow, etc. But your life is not good enough. There is something you know that is not complete in your life, you better repent, forsake, change and live a new life. Ask God for that new life of holiness and He will give it to you in Jesus name. Acts 12: 5 7. Pray for Your Relations. You want them to know Jesus. You want them to go to heaven. You want them to be protected. Pray that the Lord will bless them. 8. Pray for Your Education, Profession, Business and Work Place. Pray that God will be with you and help you always. Cast your cares upon Him. Ask Him to open the door of success and achievement. Ask Him to keep you righteous and holy every day. 9. Pray for Your Christian Leaders. Pray for your pastors for grace to do this work. Pray for the Church members. Pray for other Churches that they will live the holy life. 10.  Pray for Your Secular Leaders. After accepting the Lord Jesus as my Lord and personal Saviour as a young girl I so much enjoyed the Lord, but at a particular time in my life I entangled myself with so many sins: fornication, abortions, misconduct in two of my undergraduate examination papers, falsification of age, falsification of results in my undergraduate research project and other sins that later required restitution. This created a big vacuum in my life.
